Cone-Beam Computed Tomography Assessment of Morphologic and Anatomic Changes of the Nasopalatine Canal: Cross-Sectional Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective: To reveal the morphological and anatomical structure of nasopalatine canal (NPC) analyze its measurements via cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Methods: A total 246 CBCT images were included in study.) NPC diameter, length, angle, distance from IF to buccal bone (M1), NF (M2), middle (M3) measured. Statistical significance was assumed at p < 0.05. Results: There a significant difference between gender M1 M3 (p = 0.008, 0.019 0.001, respectively), presence teeth anterior maxilla 0.001). shape coronal plane angle 0.012) sagittal 0.006, 0.031 respectively). Conclusion: variations, gender, could affect measurements. Physicians planning surgery should pay attention this situation.

Critical anatomic region of nasopalatine canal based on tridimensional analysis: cone beam computed tomography.
The study aim of this was to define the critical anatomic region of the premaxilla by evaluating dimensions of nasopalatine canal, buccal bone plate (BBP) and palatal bone plate (PBP). 230 CBCTs were selected with both, one or no upper central incisors present (+/+, -/+, -/-) and periodontal condition was evaluated. T-student test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and a multivariant-linear regressi...

background and aims. because of increasing concerns about surgeries in the anterior maxilla, including implant placement, it is necessary to examine the morphology of the nasopalatine canal and its surrounding bones. this study aimed to analyze the shape and position of the nasopalatine canal and incisive foramen using cone-beam computed tomography (cbct). materials and methods. cbct images of ...
متن کاملassessment of nasopalatine canal anatomic variations using cone beam computed tomography in a group of iranian population
conclusion this study has highlighted the anatomical variations of npc regarding its dimension, location and morphological appearance. cylindrical was the most common shape followed by funnel-shape, hourglass, and spindle, which were the other canal shapes with less frequency, respectively. the results suggest significant relationship between npc, and gender and dental status. the influence of ...
